It is important to be able to critically evaluate health claims made about popular drugs, diets, fitness crazes, supplements, etc. Many adds target our emotions and desires. As future healthcare professionals, you will need to be able to distinguish between facts and unfounded claims.
For this discussion:
- Find one health/wellness related product/blog post to evaluate and share with the class. Include the link to the product or post for classmates to review and respond to with their own evaluations.
Refer to your text, pg. 18- Critical Consumer, for questions, strategies, and resources to assist you with this discussion. Your initial response should clearly articulate how you have incorporated the strategies into your evaluation.
